Cramer on Apple ($AAPL)

Not surprised. Just sad. Steve Jobs is America’s greatest living industrialist. He is a remarkable man and YES he is responsible for a lot of the brilliant ideas at the company. It is a secretive company. Nobody really knows who has done what and who invented this or that, but I don’t know a soul at the company who believes that it could be this inventive, brilliant company without him.
I have consistently held that Apple ($AAPL) has a strong bench. I have also great faith in Tim Cook, whom we have all seen a lot of. I happened to be very enamored of Ron Johnson’s retail work and took my price target down when he left for J.C. Penney ($JCP).
But I recognize that people are going to sell the stock, probably hard. I say, go ahead, if you truly believe this company is just one man you should get out.
I think that its P/E is so low, its products so great, its pipeline and people so great that I want to hold it and to buy it lower when all of the kneejerk selling is over.
