($NBG) Greek National Bank Won’t Need Stability Fund, Imerisia Reports

Sept. 15 (Bloomberg) -- National Bank of Greece SA won’tneed to turn to the country’s Financial Stability Fund, Imerisiasaid, citing management comments to bank officials in northernGreece.     The bank has examined all possible options as a result of acontinuing audit by BlackRock Inc of the loan portfolios ofGreek lenders, and has taken necessary actions to avoid usingthe Fund, the Athens-based newspaper reported.     No further merger deals in the Greek banking sector willtake place until after the audit is completed toward the end ofthe year, Imerisia said.
